For over 11 years, Arma 3 has been a major platform for mod developers and content creators. We recognize the amazing impact our modding community has had on our series over the years, and we greatly appreciate those who have dedicated thousands of hours of development for helping make the Arma 3 platform what it is today. The mods they have created can provide a completely new, expanded, and customizable Arma 3 experience.
Over 160,000 Arma 3 mods have been uploaded to the Steam Workshop - an impressive amount of free additional content for use in our military simulator sandbox. This could be a daunting amount for our players to search through - so to help, we began a blogpost series in April of 2024 that feature popular mods. Written for both new and veteran players alike, these articles showcase not only mods that you have heard of and have used, but maybe some hidden gems that will give you some new content to try out. We believe the mods we featured they provide a significant amount of content and expanded game mechanics that will enhance your Arma 3 experience and give you countless hours of immersive mil-sim gameplay.
The lists of mods featured in each article are far from exhaustive or comprehensive, and we may very well have missed a favorite mod of yours. Even still, what has been curated here will add an exceptional amount of variety.
The initial article was written primarily for new players looking to step into modded gameplay for the first time, and listed in detail some mods that have become core staples of many community veterans and units.
